Editorial Process and Peer Review

JPMHR ordinarily uses double-anonymised peer review. Manuscripts considered suitable for external assessment are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.

Reviewer recommendations inform editorial decisions but do not operate as binding votes. Final responsibility remains with an authorised, conflict-free editor.

Initial editorial assessment may consider journal scope, completeness, originality, research ethics, authorship, reporting quality, funding and competing interests, registration where applicable, data availability, textual overlap, image or data integrity, and other relevant submission requirements.

Editorial decisions are based on scientific validity, methodological quality, ethical acceptability, transparency, reporting quality, originality, relevance to scope, and reliability of the work.

Payment or anticipated payment of an Article Processing Charge does not determine whether a manuscript is reviewed, accepted, rejected, corrected, or retracted.

Editorial Leadership and Governance

JPMHR is led by Prof. Dr. Maryam Shabbir, PhD, Professor & Head of Department, University Institute of Physical Therapy, The University of Lahore, Lahore, Pakistan.

Scholarly editorial decisions are separated from the commercial, financial, and administrative functions of the publisher. Editors are expected to disclose relevant competing interests and recuse themselves where impartiality may reasonably be affected.

All JPMHR articles are freely and immediately available online without subscription, reader fees, paywalls, or embargo periods.

Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0), and authors retain copyright in their work.

The current Article Processing Charge is PKR 25,000, or the stated applicable equivalent for international authors, and is payable only after formal acceptance. JPMHR does not charge a submission or peer-review fee.

Publication Ethics and Research Transparency

JPMHR is committed to protecting the integrity, reliability, transparency, confidentiality, and permanence of the scholarly record.

Journal policies address publication ethics, research ethics, authorship and contributorship, competing interests, data transparency, privacy and consent, artificial intelligence, complaints and appeals, corrections, withdrawals, retractions, and related integrity matters.

Research articles should contain an appropriate Data Availability Statement, and research must satisfy ethical and reporting requirements appropriate to its design, participants, setting, jurisdiction, and discipline.

JPMHR is committed to maintaining the accessibility, integrity, and continuity of its published scholarly record.

Technical backup, OAI-PMH availability, search-engine indexing, or installation of an archival plugin are not by themselves described as confirmed independent long-term preservation. Independent preservation services are identified publicly only when operational participation can be verified.
